Chouteau will hold the Veteran’s Day assembly on Nov. 11, at 2 p.m., in the main gym.

Veterans are invited to the assembly to be honored and recognized.

Student Council vice president Nick Owen said the reason for the assembly is to “make the veteran’s feel like we appreciate what they have done for us.”

Student Council is inviting any students who have veterans in their family to submit photos. Drue Hendricks has an uncle, Raymond Hendricks, who served the country for six years in the army. “I’m proud of him and everyone who served our country,” she said.

Organizations who are participating are Mrs. Acree’s 2nd and 5th grade class, band, and choir, but the entire assembly is organized by the student council.

“It’s good to be able to help around the school and get everyone involved,” said Owen.
